Assaf Gidron is a composer and sound designer working in Den Haag, London and Tel Aviv.

2011: In post-production: music and Sound design for 'Lowlife Mythologies', feature film, written and directed by Lior Shamriz.
2010 - 2012: Royal Conservatoire Den Haag, master's degree programme, studying composition with Martijn Padding, Gilius Van Bergeijk and Cornelis De Bondt.
2010: Cello, found objects, whistle and vocals on a recording of the entire The Great Learning by Cornelius Cardew, recorded at Wigrey, Poland and released by Bolt records.
2010: Sound design for 'Mirrors For Princes', a 50 minute film written and directed by Lior Shamriz.
2010: Sound design for 'Marina On Top', a 6 minute film written and directed by Uriel Emil Pollack, London.
2010: Sound design and mix for Hilltoppers, a 60 minute community produced soap opera, part of the Telegraph Hill festival.
2010: Participated in the Berlinalle Talent Campus.
2009: Sound design, editing and mix for Saturn Returns, 93 minutes, feature film directed by Lior Shamriz. Participated in Achtung Berlin 2010; Las Palms 2010; 27th Torino Film Festival 2009. Nominated for the Max Ophüls Preis 2010.
2009: Recipient of the Music for Alice Goldsmiths Award, in memory of Alice Macgill, for a composition portfolio.
2006 – 2009: Completed music degree at Goldsmiths College, University of London, specializing in instrumental and electronic composition.
2006: Sound designer for Ho! Terrible Exteriors – a medium length film directed by Lior Shamriz. Participated in: Northern Lights Film Festival, Newcastle, 2010; London Short Film Festival, ICA London, 2007; DiBa Festival, Barcelona, 2006; Belo Horizonte Short Film Festival Brazil, 2006; OhneKohle, Vienna, 2006.
2006: Original music for Meltaot, a dance theatre piece by Efraim Ariel Ashbel. In Collaboration with Maya Dunietz.2005 – 2006: Promo Creative Director and Video Editor at Playground Post Production at Tel-Aviv. Clients included HOT cable TV.
2004 – 2006: Freelance Sound Designer and Engineer for television adverts at Broadcast Post Production in Tel-Aviv. Clients included McCann Erickson Israel, Orange Israel and Cellcom.
2004 – 2006: Freelance Sound Designer and Engineer for television promos, series, documentaries and film, at Jungle Sound Post Production at Tel-Aviv. Clients included most major television channels and film production companies, as well as independent film makers
2003 – 2006: Independant music producer and collaborator for various Tel-Aviv based musical acts, including eletro-pop group Dolly Dolly, progressive middle eastern musician Tal Hefter, and singer songwriter Oded Goldshmidt.
2005: Sound design and mix for Offside, a short documentary film by Daniel Sivan and Dorit Tadir. Participated in Tribeca Film Festival, Shorts in Competition, 2006.
2005: Sound designer for Return to the Savanna – a series of short films by Lior Shamriz. Participated in PEK Festival, Den Hague and Rotterdam 2005.
